ANXIETY

Everyone gets anxious sometimes – it’s part of being human. But there can be times in our lives when that anxiety can become overwhelming and start to interfere with us enjoying life. There are plenty of ways you can reduce those feelings and overcome them, or use them in a positive way. Our guides tell you about a few of them.

And there are some times in life when anxiety is almost inevitable – preparing for exams perhaps, or meeting someone new. Controlling how we feel and accepting those feelings as being natural are key to making sure they don’t become a problem.

We take a look at anxiety, what it can feel like, and some handy tricks to try to manage it. It’s particularly common to experience some anxiety while coping with stressful changes, but we’re here to help guide you through!

Karon said that one way to clear her mind was to collage, and felt as though the process of cutting pictures out of magazines and putting them together in a piece really helped to occupy her thoughts on something other than what had been worrying her!
