As part of our ‘Let’s Talk…with Strong Young Minds’ series, we take a look at sleep, how important it is, and how easy it can be affected by the world around us. There’s a close relationship between sleep and mental health, but many of us face problems with it every so often.

Here at Strong Young Minds, we think sleep is just as important to our health as eating, drinking and breathing – that’s why we’ve made sure to include some handy tips to try so you can catch all the Zzz’s you need!

If your problems with sleep are worrying you or affecting your day to day life, it might be a good idea to see a doctor who can give you a health check – you could even fill in our handy sleep diary and answer the Q’s to show to your GP.

According to the NHS, many cases of tiredness are due to stress, not enough sleep, poor diet and lifestyle factors. Although it can be frustrating, there are many different ways to help restore your energy levels…
